Workplace Intelligence Unit – Asia Launch

In June the Workplace Intelligence Unit was launched in Asia with the inaugural seminar held in Hong Kong. Attended by senior property executives from amongst others, Sony, Credit Suisse, Nomura and Cisco who listened to a seminar presentation by the WIU’s Ami Brabbins on the subject of ‘social capital and the workplace’. The lively seminar discussions which followed continued into the evening over dinner at Cinecitta in Mid Levels. Further WIU Asia seminar events for 2009 are planned in Tokyo, Singapore and Shanghai.

The Third Space

The Workplace Intelligence Unit  have recently completed a major new research programme which looks at the way companies are designing and using ‘The Third Space’ in their workplace strategies. The research, conducted worldwide, analysed trends in dispersed working, evolutions the way in which employees are being asked to work and the impact on the kinds of spaces they need to be productive. The findings from the research will be presented at a series of forums this autumn, including the WIU’s first ever seminar in Paris during November. Further details will be announced soon.
